Design Brief

Custom Covers were approached by a Production Company who were promoting a new animated film.

Our brief was to produce a piece of Cheese with overall dimensations of approximately 15m x 12m. The Cheese had to hold a sophistocated projection system and various internal drapes

Method

Artwork was provided and an aluminium framework designed to match the breif. Custom Covers co-ordinated with the frame fabricators and printers, ensuring the pattern matched at all the edges.

One of the main challanges faced was ensuring that a weather tight finish was achieved while maintaining the design brief to look like a wedge of cheese.

The structure also had to be quick to erect and dismantle and allow the fabric to be tensioned to reduce the wrinkling of the fabric.

The Cheese in Use

The final structure provides a visually striking enclosure for the promotion of the film and has had a successful European tour.
