Woodhouse Grove School was given a helping hand by Southampton based Marquee Manufacturer, Custom Covers, when their annual Prize Giving Day and Sixth Form Summer Ball came under serious jeopardy from adverse weather conditions.
The School had invited over 1200 guests to their Prize Giving Day, which had been traditionally held outdoors in the School's grounds, when an influx of rain and wind forced them to have a rethink. Custom Covers transformed the Sport Hall walls with an interior decorative lining allowing the hall to be made up like a beautiful marquee.
This allowed the "new" location to be used in the day for the formal Prize Giving and in the evening as a Black Tie venue. Jackie Balaam, Woodhouse Grove school Marketing Officer was delighted with the results. "Custom Covers design of decking out the hall in such a way provided us with a multi-functional space which was suitable for both events, transforming the sports hall into a beautiful, very versatile venue.
"We were delighted with the transformation and what they achieved for us, so much so that we regularly use our sports hall for such events." |
