Starlight Lining

Custom Covers has a variety of cloths and three different lighting solutions to choose from for your Starlight Lining. This will allow you to tailor a starcloth to match your exact requirements.
Using a proven design, we manufacture a wide variety of shapes and sizes for all aspects of the event industry. This allows the addition of extras such as additional rows of hooks enabling the cloth to be used in multi sized structures.

To purchase a Starlight Lining, there are two simple choices to be made.

1. Choose the colour of cloth  you require.
2. Choose the lighting system to best suit your needs.

You will then have a product to add that "sparkle" to your event. The light can be supplied by one of the following options:

1. LED: Taking advantage of the rapid introduction of light emitting diodes, Custom Covers can install these into a star cloth. We have based our design on the proven pea bulb system; allowing 2 and 4 channel options, but giving a more robust, lower power solution. LED's are available in white and many colours, with blue becoming very popular.
2. Pea Bulb: This is a system of long standing using a 24v ac loom in the roofs. The roof wiring can be adjusted to allow twinkling with a 2 channel system or showing more complicated patterns with a 4 channel arrangement.
3. Fibre Optic: Where it is important to introduce colour into the roof or a subtle twinkle, fibre optics are a good choice. Custom Covers use a modern polymer fibre loom and a rotating colour wheel to generate a stunning combination of flexibility and colour options.

Material

We use a high quality flame retardant fabric to build our star cloths. This has the advantage of good dimensional stability and low weight when used in the slightly damp atmosphere of a marquee.
Colours available; Black, White, Ivory, Blue and Burgundy. (Other colours available on request)
A backing cloth is required for a fibre optic loom and when a light coloured fabric is chosen. The backing cloths are all inherently flame retardant.
All materials are flame retardant to B.S. 5867.

Light density:

• Standard, Approx 4 lights per square metre
• High, Approx 8 lights per square metre

LED - 5v DC

• Transformer 108VA 230/5v (DC) 12 Amp IP44
• LV Connector 16A/24V
• Loom Fuse 1.25 inch slow burn 2.5A
• Will light approx 500 bulbs, equivalent to 3 off 12m x 3m roofs

Pea Bulb - 24V

• Transformer 500VA 230/24v 19.2 Amp IP44
• LV connector 16A/42v IP44
• Loom Fuse 1.25 inch slow burn 2.5A
• Will light approx 300 bulbs, equivalent to 2 off 12m x 3m roofs.

Fibre Optic

• Lamp Box 50, 75 or 100 Watt 240v 13Amp
• Colour wheel rotation 2.5rpm
• One light box per roof loom, 50w used for walls and small roofs, 75w for standard roofs and 100w for large, long panels.
