Custom Covers was asked to design and manufacture a shade system for a 20 foot ISO container. The requiement for shade was to reduce the thermal gain on the container to help reduce the air conditioning load.
An initial design for a full structural cover was prepared but this was outside the budget allowance and no requirement for full structural framework was required.
The design was then revised to reflect this and a simple tensile roof sheet was suggested with a central arch support.
|The use of the central arch allowed the cover to be tensioned out to each corner and at the mid length as well as allowing an air gap for natural ventilation between the container top and the underside of the cover.|
|The Final cover was tested and shipped within the four week schedule agreed with the client|
